Well, the lights JUST went out, so the eyes wouldn't have time to adjust yet, especially since they were just shocked by the fact that the electricity went out.

These game strips are at random places between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Plus, as Becky stated, the electricity is being worked on, therefore, it's been turned off so they don't get electrocuted working on it.
