Deep White Forest, Unova… September 12, 2015… 9:37 am…
Dylan sighed as he lied in bed. He looked up at his ceiling and said, “This has been the most boring week ever. I’ve been stuck at home all day, doing diddly squat for the past week. Sweet Arceus can I just have something fun to do.” He rolled onto his left side and grabbed his phone. He scrolled through his contacts, looking through to see if could contact anyone. He saw Rena’s contact and smiled, “Oh, I know, I can see if Rena wants to hang out. She is normally busy, but she has always been there for me.”
He tapped the contact and began calling her. Rena picked up the phone and her cheery voice came through, “Heya Dylan, what do ya need?”
Dylan sat up, “Hi Rena, I was wondering if you’ve got some plans today.”
Rena thought for a moment, “Well I was going out to see some of my friends today. Hey, maybe you could come meet them.”
Dylan shook his head, “If you’ve got stuff you’re doing I won't bother you.”
Rena smiled, “Come on Dylan, it’ll be fun. We can go to the arcade, go to your favorite place to eat.”
Dylan smiled, “Really, you want me to meet them?”
Rena chuckled, “Absolutely, i know one of them is going to be excited because he has an appetite like you.”
Dylan got out of his bed, “Ok Rena, meet me at Castelia City Square.”
Rena nodded, “You got it big guy, see ya there.”
Dylan smiled and hung up his phone. He said to himself, “Finally something to do.” He opened his closet and pulled out his yellow hoodie and zipped it up. It was tight up against his belly, but he didn’t mind. He slid his green headphones around his neck and put on his glasses and smiled, “I can’t wait to meet them.”
Castelia City Square… 11:49 am…
Dylan sat next to the fountain in the middle of the square. He looked up at the sky and smiled, “It’s a nice day out. I wonder though if that could change.”
Rena landed on his shoulder and giggled, “Hi Dylan.”
Dylan closed his eyes and chuckled, “It doesn't scare me anymore when you do that.”
Rena smiled, “Wow, you really have toughened up.”
Dylan looked at her, “Hey, are you saying that i haven't been tough before?”
Rena nodded, “Yes, I am.”
Dylan shrugged his shoulders, “Well you’re not wrong there.”
Rena chuckled, “Ok then, now i think it’s time we go meet my friends.”
Dylan nodded, “Alright Rena, lead the way.”
Castelia City Cafe… 12:27....
Dylan looked at Rena, “This isn’t my favorite place to eat.”
Rena rubbed the back of her head, “I know, the place is closed for renovations right now, so I chose my favorite place to eat.”
Dylan sighed, “I was really looking forward to some good food.”
Rena chuckled, “For once have some faith in me. I know a place you’ll just love.
Dylan looked at her, “And what would that place be.”
Rena stopped and smiled, ‘Welcome to the Castelia City Cafe.”
Dylan tilted his head, “Why a cafe, there are many other places like pizzerias, buffets, and many more, but why a cafe?”
Rena pushed him towards the front doors, “No time to explain.”
Dylan stammered, “B-b-but.”
Rena interrupted him, “No time.”
Dylan sighed, “Why do i even bother.”
Inside the Cafe…
Dylan was still being drug by Rena as he asked, “So where are your friends?”
Rena stopped at some stairs, “On the upstairs balcony.”
Dylan sighed, “Rena, you know I hate stairs.”
Rena chuckled, “I know, I just wanted to get you somewhat active.”
Dylan looked at her, “You know I hate being active.”
Rena rolled her eyes, “Yea, but for once do something.”
Dylan smiled, “Well for starters I actually flew here and did not take the transportation system, and two I was planning on doing nothing all day, but i decided i wanted to see you.”
Rena started at him, “From what I remember, you called me.”
Dylan froze, “Uhhh, did I say that, well let’s not keep your friends waiting let's go.”
Rena stammered, “W-w-wait.”
Dylan pulled her up the stairs, “No, I shall not.”
Rena sighed, “Fine, let's go meet them.”
Dylan let go of her at the top of the stairs, “So where are they?”
Rena pointed to a table in the corner of the balcony, “Just over there.”
Dylan nodded, “Ok, so what're we gonna do while we're here?”
Rena thought for a minute, “Well I do have a plan for you and Jordan to have a eating battle to see who has the bigger appetite.”
Dylan patted his gut, “You know nobody we've met has had a bigger appetite than me.”
Rena chuckled, “Well I think that may change today. He's a very big eater.”
Dylan glared at her, “You really like to challenge me with putting up against others.”
Rena nodded, “Of course I do, it's fun to see you go nuts on food. Plus this will be the best battle of the bellies ever since Jordan is very into eating.”
Dylan chuckled, “You know you just repeated yourself.”
Rena smiled, “I know, I'm just adding emphasis to it.”
Dylan rolled his eyes, “So let's go see them.”
The two weaved their way through tables and reached the balcony corner. Rena sat down on the table, “Hey you two, sorry we kept you waiting.”
Jordan smiled, “It's no problem.” He looked at Dylan, “So your Dylan. Rena has told me many things about you. Mainly that you've got an appetite. I'm Jordan and this is Natas.”
Natas whispered, “Hi, nice to meet you.”
Dylan smiled, “Nice to meet the two of you as well.”
Rena giggled, “Yay, now what I really want to see is you two have a eating contest.”
Dylan shook his head, “Of course you do, it's not like you've been telling me this since we got here.”
Jordan leaned back, “Well first off, Dylan you should sit down, and two, I'm up for the challenge.”
Dylan sat down, “Well then, I accept this challenge.”
Rena smiled, “Yes, now let's see what we should get you two.”
Outside the Cafe…
Key walked through the streets of Castelia City, looking around at the shops and restaurants that dotted the streets. He walked past the Cafe and noticed on the balcony someone that looked familiar. He stopped and looked up and smiled, “Well well, I never thought he would wander this far from the forest. I think I should go say hi.”
Back in the Cafe…
Rena had finish list of the the different foods to the waiter as she smiled, “You two better be ready.”
Dylan nodded, “I am, are you Jordan?
Jordan smiled, “I was born ready.”
Key snuck up behind Dylan a said, “Hey Dylan, how are ya.”
Dylan face clawed, “Oh sweet Arceus. Hi Key, how ya been?”
Key smiled, “I'm doing fine, how about you?”
Dylan sighed, “Well it depends ‘cause of your timing.”
Key tilted his head, “What do ya mean by “timing”.”
Dylan pointed at Rena, “I'm hanging out with Rena and her friends.”
Key replied, “Oh, that's why. Well will ya be free later?
Dylan shrugged his shoulders, “Not sure, I'll see how things go.”
Key nodded, “Ok, so what are ya doing here anyway?”
Rena smiled, “Him and Jordan are going to have an eating contest.”
Key grabbed a chair and sat down, “Well this I gotta see.”
Rena chuckled, “Actually, how about you join in. I know you have an appetite as well.”
Key thought for a moment, “Eh, why not.”
Rena nodded, “Alright, I gotta go find the waiter.”
Dylan rolled his eyes, “So Key, what are you even doing in Castelia City anyway?”
Key moved his chair next to him, “Well, I came out here to see the city and maybe find some good places to eat.”
Jordan nodded, “Makes sense, Castelia City does have plenty of places to eat.”
Key replied, “So I've heard, I also planned on maybe getting a new jacket, this one is getting a bit small on me.”
Dylan chuckled, “Well you have been putting on weight.”
Key smiled, “Of course, it's fun to do.”
Jordan laughed, “You are one weird Typhlosion. First with sneaking up on Dylan and no just randomly joining in the eating contest. I like you, you add to the personality of the group.”
Key rubbed the back of his head, “Well I try to be funny, but half the time it annoys Dylan.”
Jordan nodded, “I can tell with the reaction from Dylan when you got here.”
Key chuckled, “Yea, he may get annoyed, but that's what's fun about it.”
Dylan folded his arms, “Though I would like it if you would stop doing it.”
Key shook his head, “Nope, I will never stop.”
Dylan face clawed again, “Lovely.”
Rena finally came back as waiters followed behind her. She smiled, “Food’s ready you three.”
Key’s jaw dropped as he saw the amount of food being wheeled towards them. He stammered, “Uh, isn't that a bit much.”
Rena shook it off, “Nah, it's fine.”
Key sighed, “Well, I guess I agreed to this, here we go.”
Natas finally spoke, “I'm kind of excited to see this.”
Rena smiled, “I'm not kind of excited, I'm bouncing off the walls excited.”
Dylan smiled, “Well let's see who has the biggest appetite out of the three of us.”
An hour later… 2:49 pm…
Dylan leaned back in his chair, his claws on his gut, “Oh my Arceus, I ate way too much.”
Jordan burped, “Same here, Key you good?”
Key was lying on the floor and replied, “As good as I can be.”
Dylan chuckled, “And you ripped your jacket.”
Key shrugged, “Oh well, I need a new one anyways.”
Jordan chuckled, “Well Dylan, you were a formidable opponent, and as of now, I will call our battle a draw.”
Dylan nodded, “I agree, we both ate about the same. Though Key ate less than half of what we did.”
Key lifted his head up and looked at him, “Well for one thing I'm like a fifth of your weight and a third of Jordan’s. So yea, I did eat less than you.”
Dylan extended his claw out to him, “That's true, now get up off the floor.”
Key grabbed his claw, “So now what?”
Dylan replied, “How about we all come to my place. We could rent a couple movies and I could cook dinner.”
Jordan nodded, “Sounds good, what do you think Natas.”
Natas nodded, “I like the idea.”
Rena smiled, “Alright, party at Dylan's place.”
Jordan got up and put a his wing on his gut, “So where do you live.”
Dylan got up as well, “White forest, not too long of a fly.”
Key looked at him, “Well I can't fly, so how am I gonna get there?”
Dylan grabbed him and put him on his back, “Just hold on tight.”
Key shuddered, “Oh Arceus help me.”

It begins! And no, I will not spoil Rena's dark secret for anyone, not that you can't find it elsewhere, which reminds me. I actually have multiple versions of some of my OCs, and Rena happens to be one of them. I gave you the mortal version of her to use. The other version I have is a god above Arceus, and thought that version of her would be too OP for this story.
