So my older fans will probably remember early on my Tales from Ernie's Disposal series. A series I was just wrapping up by the time I migrated to FA from DA. A series I would enjoy revisiting sometime honestly. Anyway I've always been a big Brave Little Toaster fan since I was little.. and for those who have never seen it don't let the laughable title fool you.. this shit is DARK.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9mUB0ZqLrA and I'm certain it had a role in shaping me into the object lover I am today.. er.. I mean lover as in.. not sexual.. well.. >>; ANYWAY!
Worthless is by far the most disturbing song in the movie, it's at the end. I doubt I even need to tell you guys about it, I know my audience. Well this little piece is about Callie. Yes, Callie the little yellow Woodie Wagon (1940 Ford Deluxe) who's tortured life is ended second to last in the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Uf.....be&t=4m27s
Well due to some obsessive digging, I was able to find out what actors did the voices for some of the cars in the song. The famous Pinky, voiced by Susie Allanson, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzoaF1g6mug who actually was the vocal coach that got all the other voice actors together and would know who did every voice.. though unfortunately reaching her is impossible it seems.
Anyway Callie turns out to have been voiced by Beth Anderson, another small scale 80s singer. Though that doesn't mean she hasn't left her mark! Aside from Callie, any fans of The Never Ending Story will be blown away to find out that she provided the background female vocals during Limahl's theme song for the movie. Yep, she did that iconic "awHHhh awHHhhh Awhhh" in the chorus. ^_^
But bad-ass enough, she also provided vocals for two songs in the movie Scarface. "Right Combination" played on the car radio as the main characters drive away from the chainsaw drug deal. Then the featured song here "Dance Dance Dance" which is heard in the club scene where Tony Montana has the hitmen almost kill him lol.
Well I don't know about you guys, maybe it's just my autistic ass. But even listening to these songs from completely unrelated things to BLT. I still enjoy imaging Pinky or Callie singing them none the less since it IS their voice heh heh... So I whipped up a little bubbly dancing GIF of Callie. The idea is that you can loop this which you play this song of hers from Scarface in another tab.. and it'll be the poor mans animation of her dancing and singing to the song! <: D
Hopefully many of you have read this far to actually see that that's the idea behind this submission. >>

This was actually practice for seeing if maybe I have the skill to do a full-scale Callie or Pinky music video in animatic style. Do you guys ever walk around listening to music with full blown music videos totally imagined up in your head before? Just wa'ting to be animated so anyone outside your head can see it? I do... and it's frustrating. O_o Because take it from my head.. these are good powerful music videos!

lol you'll have to forgive me but the only song I can play while I look at this is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F13JNjpNW6c It's always heartwarming to see you do more BLT content, especially when it involves giving the "Worthless" cars the attention they need. However, that Dance Dance Dance isn't that bad either! lol It's kind of funny to hear those voices in other roles or media because I can't help but imagine Pinky or Callie. And on the note of having ideas in your head you'd love more than anything to get out there for other people to see, I can wholeheartedly understand you there as that happens to me frequently! But for you, I say go for it man! You HAVE the talent to make an animated short! Heck if you found your drive to do it you'd be able to color it and make it look spot on to the movie!! You're that kind of person! You have a talent for this stuff and an unmatched attention to detail! I don't think this should serve as practice or a "Maybe" animation for Callie, I think, for you, this should be an announcement to your watchers that it's coming; that you're going to make another piece of BLT fanart that'll be a must see for the old fans just like the Pinky series was. You can do it man!
What is it with appliances and that song?! XD Is it their god or something?? I'm actually pretty surprised how well it fits. I didn't even realize when I was animating this how it matched so closely to how Toaster and the gang danced during that song.. with the hoping to the left and right lol.

Well this is encouraging. Because actually, this little dance animation I expected to take two days or something.. but it really only took about 5 hours or so. It's only about 7 or 8 frames. It just goes to show you how well the brain is at putting a 'movement' or 'flow' to a few disjointed frames.. filling in the animation gap.
So here's how I see it. I doubt any short will be colored. Coloring just adds a whole new workload in there entirely. (though maybe it could be added in post as sort of a 'remaster' later) but I will do it gray-scale shaded. I'm gonna draw the backgrounds by themselves, make them nice and shaded and nice. Then have objects and characters animated on their own layers..

Hey sorry for the delay on the video. My dad had a health scare that required him going to the ER and it put me off of my schedule for awhile. He's alright now and I'll be filming Monday.

We're ground off some of the rust and put Bondo on her front extension panel. I've saved up some money to get her some used tires too, and the floor is coming along well! Aside from that I've just been polishing her chrome and shining up her windows.

Oh good idea. Maybe. I don't know if they allow you to walk around in that yard or not. It's a strange yard next door and kinda.. wrapping around the pick-n-pull like a cancerous growth. That Impala is laying right by the gate, it's in the top of the map here where you see 12 st. That's where Lilly and I parked and I took the pic over the gate. It's "Alright Auto."

Something interesting of note. See the big tall crane arm just below and to the right of the highway sign? It's kinda hard to see because of the bushes. But for a long time I figured that was the predator of the yard, the magnet so the speak, the crane of death. But after looking closer one day I noticed that no.. it's another victim! It's actually one of those long-boom tow trucks that's parked back there.

No no it's okay! Most of the time I don't have TOO much going on! Aside from the work I make for myself.
If you could get better pictures of it I'd be grateful. If the wiring is still in place I might be able to see why Cass has so many empty grounds. Now that I think about it though the interior would probably color coated for the red exterior. Although if the glove box is still in tact and the price is good I might ask you to pick it up for me for Cass. In that state I think that would be the only way I could get that car back onto the road in some form.
