Made up a new species called Raenalen
The giant gem thing is their eye. They are semi-aquatic. Have no butt as all of that end is their tail, which they can lift themselves up on and move like a snake on land. It's paddle shaped end makes it propel them through the water relatively quick. Nostrils on top of their head. No mammaries. They feed their young like birds. Though since they are advanced they mostly just feed them mush.
They have two sets of teeth. The inner one is meant for chewing and talking. Outer is ripping and defense. Though its relatively useless now that they are advanced.
