I love it when traditional art is uploaded, being able to see stray pen marks and brushstrokes is something I'm always going to appreciate. I really like the color choices you used, especially with the relationship between the squirrel's fur and her outfit. I also like that you chose a cooler color scheme with the 'background'. The light on the ground from the window and the yellow highlights coming from the lamp are really nice touches, and add a lot of atmosphere to this piece. I was a little thrown off by the picture at first, it looked as though she were walking into the wind with a strange background thrown in for visual effect. Then I saw the shoes and realized she was laying down on the floor. You did a great job with the highlights but there are very few deep shadows, and that might be what's causing the picture to flatten out.

Thank you. ^^ I appreciate the traditional art that crops up around here, when it does, too. Hand-done work without ctrl + z certainly has some spizaz to it, don't you think? :3 Also, I photograph all of my artwork 90% of the time. The only time I have access to a scanner is when I'm visiting my parents. Because of how I digitalize me work, I sadly lose a lot of detail and contrast. I try to bring some back using Photoshop, but photographed artwork never has the shine of it's original. :3 I love that you picked up on so much of the smaller details that did come through though- you're really astute at vocalizing and critiquing artwork-- thank you very much! It's always a pleasure to get constructive feedback and some really thought out compliments. :3 I do need to try and push more contrast into my work, it's something I've always lacked.

Eee, thank you! Scenes can be really hard- I've been working in and out of abi land trying to improve my ability to take a complex scene and simplify it into my style without losing the general idea. :3 Sooo, your compliment means a lot to me. <3<3

I was in love the first time I saw the video- it's so dreamy and peaceful. A lot of people were putting down the song in the iTunes comments, to which I replied 'NO FOOLS." Surprisingly no - I don't involve myself with iTunes very often; too glitchy for me. I actually came across it in a Livejounal community I frequent and the thread boasted nothing short of spectacular. And as you can tell, I'm in love! :3
