I put on the left glove to take these pictures (I had to have a hand free to handle the camera) I really need to make another version of these gloves, something a little more comfortable to wear.

These are such a neat idea!
A suggestion? Sew your plates onto gloves- simple black or brown cotton/lycra ones so they stretch with your hands. It might make your piece easier to wear. If you can find or make a simple hand form (try casting your outstretched fingers in plaster or the like) you can stretch the glove over it and sew the pieces on that way so they don't end up being the wrong size. Just a thought, because just looking at this makes me think you're going to have all kinds of comfort issues with the wires poking into your hide. See about bending them flat, too. Or lay them as flat as you can and tuck the ends into themselves so you don't have sharp pointy bits driving you crazy or tearing your gloves. When you make stuff like this, always work on how you can make the pieces as smooth as possible- less wear-and-tear on poor, easily ripped skin!

Thank you and thank you for the suggestions. This is an older piece (that I just dug out of storage) and I have improved the design since then to be far more wearable. Amazingly enough, despite its age (wire seems to love to come undone) there aren't any stray wire points.
I will have to talk to someone in the art department about getting casts of my hands done, would be less painful than fitting the gloves on my hands.
