Baleful are the most misunderstood race. They carry a demonic
presence about them, and share the physical features of such. Many
tribes of baleful practice flesh magic, cannibalism, holy, and unholy
rituals. They seek balance in power, and power in each other. While
their people and practices are usually feared, they mean well. They
strive to preserve the flesh of others, even if it means consuming the
flesh of the recently deceased. The baleful saw the merger as a
necessary balancing act, one world consuming part of another, to stay
alive. Their hardy flesh and magical eyes allow them to live anywhere,
and they are the only race to have ever existed in both the abyssal and
earth realm, before the merger.
