well...the thing about heats is they aren't sated unless impregnation happens and in most species it can be dangerous to go through heats without any relief, a lot of animals irl can actually die if they don't breed, ferrets for example will physically overheat as their body temperature spiking during mating season without being impregnated will literally evaporate her body and kill her organs
I keep clicking on these comics thinking "oh, a flood of comics...I'll keep these aside for later"...
