Nonesense! Humans are one with nature! They don't have a non-anthro species, so aren't kept apart from the natural world like anthros are! And because humans are all one species, there's no speciesism or bigotry! And because they're always in mating season mode, their culture is one of unprecidented sexuality and openness about sex and love regardless of gender or other concerns! They're perfect and wonderful! Who wouldn't want to be a human?

Hmm, yes... I regret to bring up that, from a technical stand point, the evolution of such a race of creatures would be entirely impractical. Even assuming an increased cranial capacity to manage greater intellectual development would in no way detract from their entire lack of defensive or offensive mechanisms with nature. Should such a "fleshie", as you term it, ever have evolved naturally, it would likely have been hunted to extinction almost immediately as it would have no way to compete in a physical manner with our more wild brethren. Fascinating theory you "fleshies" have, but I think we'd have better luck breeding that "unicorn" thing I heard about in Greek myths by crossing a Narwhal with one of the Equine descendants.

I think it can be seen as less of wanting to be a mythical species and more of a desire return to infancy. Upon consideration you will notice many similarities between these "fleshies" and infants. No fur, teeth and claws are
weak,poor eyesight, slow moving and the anticipation of milk in many cases.
The idea of a unified race can also be attributed to the fact that nearly all infants act the same way. The implications of limitless sex can also be attributed to retreating to infancy seeing as how sex generally make one feel good and happy as infants tend to be more often than not.
