The Legend of Kuya: Blimp of the Wild
Fearing that his flying days were numbered due to his insatiable appetite, he was left with two options. Either give up on the glorious feasts he had been indulging on, or find a way to fly regardless of his extra baggage, and turning down such delectable dishes was not something that he could ever do, so finding an alternate method of flight was his only choice.
During his travels he had encountered and killed many an octorok, from them, he had gathered from them a rather large surplus of Octo Balloons. He found attaching them to objects caused them to float upwards in the air for a short period of time, he then saw the potential for them to solve his flight problems.
"If I could unlock the uplifting potential and incorporate it into cooking, I could have my cake and eat it too" The Rito thought to himself, and began testing many a recipe.
After a few failed attempts, he was able to cook something edible with the floatable ingredient, in fact it was probably the best thing he had ever been able to cook, not only had he made them into edible food, but he had made elixirs with the same if not even moreso uplifting benefit.
All that was left to do was to see just how effective it was.
Starting with an Elixir he brewed, he took a small curious swig, it tasted absolutely wonderful, which was rare for elixirs, likening it to that of an octopus soup broth, he chugged the Elixir down barely even stopping for a breath. The effects flowed through his body almost immediately. He was as light as the feathers on his skin, taking off and flying about took little to no resistance whatsoever, he barely even needed to flap his wings to stay afloat.
The food he prepared prior looked wonderful too, even though it was a simple seafood stir-fry, the taste was exquisite, he concluded with unabashed arrogance that his meal was simply to die for. And it was so light too, well at least he was, because after the meal he began to casually float in the air, as if gravity had given up on bringing him to the ground. It worked, and he was proud of himself for solving his dilemma so easily, now he didn't have to watch what he ate, even if he were as big and heavy as a Goron, he would still be able to fly through the air with the grace and majesty that the Rito were known for. And with that he made himself seconds... and thirds and fourths until he had simply run out of ingredients to work with.
Content with the meal's he had he floated off (literally) to his study to continue his research on the Guardian fragments he had salvaged earlier that day, he let out a groan of discomfort as his armor that fit him well was tightly squeezing his distended stomach.
"Urf, I really should at least show some restraint" He grunted as he made attempts to loosen the straps on his armor. This gave him some much needed relief as he let out an exasperated sigh to confirm that he was once again in a state of comfort, however it was short lived as once again his armor began to feel tighter and tighter. Even his cherished scarf started to feel like it was starting to choke him. Flinging off the scarf in an instant, he made attempts to loosen his armor once more, but to his surprise he had noticed that his stomach had literally doubled in size since his big meal, and he could feel it pressing tighter and tighter against his armor. Not just his belly, but his legs too began feeling thicker and tightly restrained against the sections of armor he had equipped. Gaps where armor did not over his frame, showed his own distended body spilling out drastically.
Now his arms began to feel more puffy, their extra 'bulk' making the removal of armor next to impossible to deal with, but soon that wouldn't matter, as his whole body now three times his original size continued to build up pressure contained by the armor. With the sound of some ominous creaking, his armor burst off, allowing for the Rito's soft black and creamy white plumage to spill out in all directions. his whole body now five times bigger than he originally was and still showing signs of expansion.
The birb balloon couldn't help but let out a moan of relief and he was not free from the tight restraints of his armor. Though he soon found that he was going to be in another tight spot as the old wooden house he resided in began to feel more and more smaller for him to live in. The Rito couldn't help but laugh at his own misfortune, as his bloated body began taking a more spherical shape, his legs and arms pushed outwards due to his feathery frame inflating so rapidly.
It did not take his body long to fill up the entire room, his mass pressing firmly now against the walls and roof of his house. However unlike his armor the house was ironically less durable, and with a creak and a crack from the old lumber and an audible 'fwoomp' from his own body, the blimp of a bird finally obtained freedom into the outside world, still expanding steadily as he made his ascent towards the skies, greeted by the sun rising (alongside himself) over the horizon, albeit the only horizon he could see clearly was that of his own feathery mass.
After a while the expansion began to slow down, despite his awkward shape, he found with a bit of effort, himself able to at least control where abouts he was floating towards, however floating downwards did not seem to be an option as of yet, as he remained stranded in the morning skies, he hoped that returning back to the ground was still an option at all.

Gosh darn it, I wish levitation elixirs actually existed in that game. Probably not with the side effects of this, but... It would be so useful for long distance glides, probably by reducing stamina consumption because you'd weigh less...
Sorry, my brain just went into game-design mode. .w.

Alas, none should tamper in the affairs of octo balloons! For it results in strange things happening!
I've always felt at least a bit disappointed that the octo balloons themselves don't last very long. They pop after like, thirty seconds or less.
Let's hope the bird fellow here doesn't meet the same fate!
