I made scampi leggings :333
I'll be taking custom legging commissions very soon! Just have to put together all the info.
But I looove them, here I am living the dream of becoming a real life scampi.
They're a little loose on me, I should have gotten a small x_x

As much as i think they're cute and all, i DO NOT want that to become a trend. Legging in public are gross enough on the wrong kinds of bodies but these wouldn't be doing the furry fandom any favors if seen in the wild. i live in an area where furries with tails and ears are super common. Seeing these in the wild on the kinds of people i usually see would be...damaging to say the least. Both to the fandom and to my eyes.
Again, i LOVE them and they look totally cute-
...on the right kind of bodies in the right kind of company (like cons).
-But please please please oh, puh-LEEZ! i don't wanna see these on my local furrie's buttoots. No, thank you! LOL

Despite my usual pretty picky tastes in fashion and clothing in general, and my overall negative views on how a lot of furries choose to dress (there’s a lot of furries who certainly aren’t fashion-forward), I still fully support people wearing whatever they want! Yeah, maybe on certain sizes or body types leggings aren’t flattering on their own, but they work fine for ANYONE if you just wear them with the right outfit. A long shirt, a dress, under shorts, etc.
They’re also just super fun and comfortable. These leggings are a really nice light material and perfect for summer, and I’m having a blast wearing them :D
If there are people who want to have leggings that look like their fursona’s, I’m more than happy to enable them, because I think more fun creative products like this are what the fandom needs! And I want to encourage people to express themselves.

We absolutely agree. There's a lot of body policing that goes on and we aren't a huge fan of it, like seriously when did we get that "these things are ok, but these items just don't look good on you so you don't get to wear them." Screw that, the fact that we can wear furry gear is solely because people decided that what other people thought about what they are wearing is bunk and awful, and policing them is ... just upsetting. ::sigh::
Agreed, actually.
But there's a difference between expressing one's self and exposing one's self, which is exactly the problem. "Expressing" your genitalia for all the world to see isn't flattering your image or the fandom's and that's mostly what i'm referring to. Furries get a bad rap already for wearing what the normies already think is "fetish gear". Why give them more ammo by stuffing a size 10 butt in a size 5 pair of leggings. -And while i realize that's not the case for all, it's certainly the case for lots of furs in my neighborhood. Leggings on the whole are already a pretty...controversial over-garment to say the least. Again, it's not MY taste i'm concerned about, i know that not all furs are *insert stereo type here*; it's the impressions taken by others that might associate our hobby with bad fashion sense and a lack of self-awareness. Same goes for furs who wear leashes, bondage gear and inappropriate accessories in public. it's cute, quirky and fun to us. To others, it's weird.

Oh, I totally agree about people in general wearing unflattering clothing. Like, there’s obviously a huge difference between people wearing what they want to and people wearing shorts that are 4 sizes too small or a dress that’s way too short and not leaving much to the imagination.. poorly fitting clothing definitely isn’t a fashion choice.
But if someone’s getting custom leggings from me I’m going to make sure that we get them made in a size that works for them. I have a sizing chart and tips/suggestions that I think in general will help out my customers get a pair of leggings that will fit them appropriately :) I think well-made, creative and colorful leggings like this, paired well with a nice top, dress, or shorts, can actually be a more positive and fashionable way to show off your furry side instead of wearing a big awkward tail or color or things that can generally get in the way or be distracting.
I wouldn’t immediately assume the worst from these leggings. I’m already taking on a few custom ones and I’ve made sure to print them in appropriate sizes, work hard to make the patterns really appealing and interesting, and in general I’m trying really hard to make these a fun cool fashion commission. Gimme a chance!

Maybe people should just wear what they wanna wear and if others don't like it, they don't need to look! :)
If someone wants to wear cool dog pants and it makes them happy and comfortable, why shouldn't they? Because someone else doesn't like how it looks? Just because you, personally, might not like how someone looks, doesn't mean that they're doing anything bad or wrong. Everyone likes their own thing.
I don't think 'gross' is a very nice word to use to describe anyone, there's no such thing as a 'wrong body'! :(

I see this furry-in-public-cringe phenomenon, but I also remember that non-furries often wear animal clothing and it's totally acceptable. The stuff that really seems to incite cringe is accessory furry attire that doesn't serve a clothing purpose, such as tails or ears. Animal hoodies (with a tail and ears) seem acceptable, so are animal hats. (from personal experience wearing things in public)
I honestly think wacky leggings are so normalized that very few people would find these cringe-worthy, well... at least not any more upsetting than typical wacky leggings you'd find at a clothing store.
