Vampire Cat Mermaid Sketch

One of my mutuals on Tumblr the other day was asking if vampires could be mermaids and I guess it kind of stuck with me. I originally started out drawing this with the concept of a fat mermaid in mind (I want to do more fat mythological/fantasy creatures as art panels for the upcoming con’s art show), then it became a cat mermaid, and that idea popped back into my head so it became a vampire cat mermaid. I started drawing from the bottom to force myself not to just do the face first and then stop at just making a portrait like I most often tend to do. I excel at portraiture, but I really want to start making myself practice more full body and different shapes/poses. It doesn’t make any sense at all, but I like it and I had fun drawing this. x3
