This species is called Torsa. To be perfectly frank, they're not exactly a new species. I fact, I first designed them when I was about twelve years old. (You do not want to see those designs, trust me.) But recently, I decided to revamp them, and I think they turned out great!

They're a reptilian race, naturally, and one with strong inclinations for both the artisan's path and the warrior's path. But don't let appearance fool you! The males are just as capable as the females when it comes to becoming warriors, though a male warrior relies more on speed and agility, quick maneuvers and lightness than a female's strength and size. Likewise, there's no physical determination on who can become an artisan or not, right?

As a side note, the markings on both the female and the males, as well as the colors, are no constant. They're only an example of what could be done, and the general gist of how it ought to be done (males are more colorful and have markings that swirl and twiust, while females are of duller coloring, and have both less and more simple markings, etc).

And hey, if enough people are interested in these lizard folk, I might just put in some real work on them, and draw up some real solid species refs!
