Some days I really feel tired, you know? I grow upset, and it can be hard to hide it. Now and again when those feelings come to rest on my shoulders, it can be hard to lift them and work on the things that drive me forward. You ever feel that way sometimes? You probably have.
I'm not out of the tunnel yet. I'm a bit angry, and a bit sad. But I want you to know something though. It gets better eventually. Some people sit this way for awhile. Some people start to feel that weight bracing on their fingers and muddying up their minds. It can be hard to see things clearly when this happens. If you're feeling the way I do, I'm hoping you'll be patient with yourself.
If people are making light of the things that hurt you. If laughter is made over the things you hold dear. If you feel like no one cares, or that you're going in circles, and it will always be this way. Draw it out. Write it out. Let it out here.
You know..I don't feel safe with anyone. The hardest thing I can do is open my arms. But I'm taking a deep breath and resting this muddied mind for a moment just for you. I made this work actually to let out some things...because I've been struggling the last week to feel balanced again. I feel sharp, wide eyed and voiceless. Maybe you do too. It's not true. If you can hear yourself or hear me. Now and again remember: It's not true.
We need a break. So come and draw or write with me sometime. We can be afraid and angry, petrified and hopeful together. Let's tear down that truth some time.
