One day, she awoke as usual. The wind was soft on her feathers as she stretched from her sleep. Walking to the middle of her pool she prepares to catch breakfast when a sudden movement stills her. Straightening up slowly she turns nervously to the side to behold a large serpent staring at her with hungry eyes.
Shivering with fear she asks in a soft voice, “What can I do for you, sir?”
The serpent’s eyes gleamed as he leans forward and replies in a soft hiss, “ I just want you to stand as you are, never moving, and gaze into my eyes.”
Several moments later moans could be heard as the snake smacks his lips in content.
“Ahhh he replied patting his belly.”
Another fish flies his way and he opens his mouth and gulps it down in a hurry before whining, “ I said enough already! I’m about to burst!”
The bird smiles thinly as she said, “ That’s what you get for trying to sweet talk me into catching fish for ya.”
(Image I did in one of my sketchbooks at 9:38 pm 4/6/17. just something fun to do with my hands. No pencils used. Just different verities of pens. Art by me.)
