Road to Recovery
lol so apparently while I was working on the Radiator, Ian snapped off a picture of me without my knowing! Ian, it was a blast having you come over and feel free to come back any time! We got a lot of work done in a very small period of time and I'm feeling like we're in a good place for future repairs. Even if she's not firing up her engine yet and I'm still not entirely sure of its condition, it's just nice having her finally parked in my yard! And I have the utmost confidence that she'll fire up!
That being said, my work and purchases for her is going to have to slow down some until after August as I get into Megaplex Prep mode. I'm working on getting in better shape, there's a few things I'm learning how to do, and my Jyoo C Froot Mark 2 Fursuit has a LOT of work that needs done on it. There's still a critical flaw in the ventilation that needs addressed, I need to take in the neck, and I need to get a date set up in which I can work with my suitmaker to get the Digi's done. Because of the flaw and the minor repairs that need addressed I was forced to discontinue my Fursuit Friday uploads to avoid further damage. So for that reason it might be awhile before my next update on this project. Still, you can count of seeing plenty of art in the meantime.

lol then in that case you're going to be very happy when you see her on the road again, because once I set my mind to something I am an irresistible and undeterable force! I will allow no room for failure and give my word that I will not rest until she's cruising and fit to be a daily driver! This, I swear!!
Hey anytime! By nature I'm a rather positive person and determined cuss. I don't tend to roll over without one heck of a fight first! And in all honesty she's coming together rather quickly. All the naysayers who spoke so assuredly about how hopeless the project was and how she was too far gone and this, that, and next thing were far too quick to write her off! I try to live my life as effectively as I can and without giving up before I've thrown my hat into the ring. Life's only as sour and bleak as you allow it to be!
I'm sure you're not giving yourself enough credit! People are far more hardy than they ever give themselves credit for! I've never EVER so much as worked on a car before and look at how well this project is going! All you need to do is stay determined and be willing to try!
Indeed,i do the same.,i am repairing an old Western Star truck,i have some pics here

one thing to do before trying to run the engine... take all the spark plugs out and squirt oil down the holes, then turn the engine over without the plugs (no compression). Marvel mystery oil is good or some liquid wrench. The rings are metal and ride on metal so the idea it to lubricate them and free up anything that might be stuck from corrosion. (pre-lube) This will also help free up the rest of the engine and spread the oil to the critical areas before you run it. When you do run it - it will smoke a bit from the oil but that will go away.

lol I actually did put Marvel's in the Sparkplug holes as well as on the lifters, and you know, the strangest happened! I went out there the next day, THE VERY NEXT DAY, and checked that old black 22 year old oil that's been sitting in there all this time and somehow that Marvel's turned it back into crystal clear good smelling oil. I had two other people look it over and they all agreed that it looked like brand new oil! I'll let you know how our second attempt at a test start go this weekend! And thank you very much for the advice my friend!!
Well hey there and hello! It's good to see you again! It's slow, but it's still going! I've actually be tracking down parts in the area and calling garages to put in a new floor properly for her. Right now I'm working out the right order to proceed in, and a lot of locals are helping me out to find everything I need: which I appreciate a lot! lol expect more pictures to come eventually!
lol I don't think she's too far behind! She needs a new floor, new trunk, new hood, new gas tank, new interior, new tires, new lights, and new windshield, and a goodly number of additional parts I'm sure. I'm fairly certain her engine's still imbued with a certain will to go on, but I need to test her a bit more first!
