Well. This one took me a silly amount of time to sort. Not the story portion - I mean this goddamn author comment. See how many links I had to sort? It's ludicrous.
Either way, yes, finally done another part of this, at long last! Unfortunately no matches in this part. Whilst the original plan was to have all of this and the first battle of the night, I realised after doing both the introduction of the belts AND the picking of the teams, throwing in a match as well would both make this part really long, and make getting it out even longer! As such, opted to simply leave this part for lore and set-up, and get to the battling next time!
Also, for the teams... apologies that perhaps not everyone got the partner they wanted! Asked the winners from last time who their characters would prefer as a partner. Funnily enough there... wasn't actually much variance in the choices, with Alex in particularly being near-universally the most popular choice for a teammate.
Unfortunately, due to a lot of similar choices, some of the team-ups aren't quite what certain people wanted - in particular, Daisy's owner suggesting Daisy explicitally wouldn't want to team with Ryltohn due to wanting to fight him. Whoops!
In the end, what wound up mattering most was the future angles I could set up - so if you didn't get who you wanted, at least you'll hopefully enjoy the angles that come from all this! I hope nobody minds the compromises. @-@
