So I went out last night, using the wolf spider hunting technique that I seem to have mastered.
Ran across this scene playing itself out in the darkness.
A stocky wolf spider munching on...something. I couldn't get a good look at it. I think it's a small cockroach of some sort.
But also...sneaking in from the left trying to get in the shot...a leafhopper nymph!
I apologize there is so much grass in the way, but I kind of like how it frames everything.
My yard is absolutely ALIVE at night.

That is for seriously a really REALLY awesome picture! I love it! Its so natural! Its like striaght from a nature documentary, and the spider is so gorgeous, and the grass is so perfect, and you can just see EVERYTHING.
