Well, I may have sold off the Dream Vision Creations resin head kit....But I also bought one of their foam rubber beaks last year.
Which is really just the beak off the resin small raptor head shell kit, but cut off and cast in foam rubber instead.
I was going to use this for Ironwings- My Polish hussar gryphon...But these beaks are very inexpensive, and I can afford to buy another one when I am ready to tackle his project head on.
The beak was cast as per my request in black foam rubber. (They have several colors you can choose from in the select menu on the site when ordering....Plug! Plug!)

The paint is cheap walmart acryllic- The buck a bottle stuff, I think? Less than that?
I was surprised at how well it covered. Only took three coats or so plus touchup- I expected to have to put on at least 4 to 6 coats, but it didn't require it.
The only reservation I am now having is that black beak tip....
The beak is rather long.
Longer than I actually want, because Gazookee is intended to be somewhat toony in appearance.
Ideally, the beak should be about half as big.
However, we work with what we got...And the black tip makes the beak seem smaller.
Though I may change the shape and size of the black part to make it a bit taller on top.
But now I am seriously wondering if I need the black spot on the bottom beak?
It seems a bit of overkill... And I wonder if all yellow for the lower beak would look better?
I'd like opinions on that.
It will be several days before I spray the beak with polyurethane to seal and protect the acryllic finish.
It will also make the beak glossy instead of its current matte finish.
What I have and intend to use is the preferred sealant for many LARP foam rubber sword makers, and I have used it before.
Its very tough, yet flexible.
So if Gazookee needs to bite and subdue a particularly vicious tennis ball....His beak will stand up to the task.
