Small simple silly pic of Yooka and Laylee. Wanted to draw something before the launch, which I will miss.
No I don't think Laylee would actually say "yeehaw". Although I've been avoiding most promotional stuff for the game since I'd want to discover it for myself, like I did Banjo-Kazooie way back when. So as far as I know, "yeehaw" is her catch phrase. But it wasn't Kazooie's so I assume it isn't lol.

If it's "the worst" of the Banjo-Kazooie games, then it's not that bad really. And from what I've seen, it's averaging at 7/10. But I wouldn't even check Metacritic since that score is meaningless. I could only trust certain reviewers that I follow, knowing their taste. And even then, this game would really only meant to appeal to fans of the BK games.
Irregardless of the reception of that game, I'm not worries about my own enjoyment for the game. Better to know my own taste than to be paranoid because of a failed kickstarter for a game based on a game I wasn't even into to begin with.

Heheh, maybe. I'll be honest and I haven't really watched much of his videos. So I couldn't really tell what I think about his viewpoints. Having said that. I get the impression, from what I hear, that he's more into aggressively talking about his opinion without filtering it in a subjective light. Which is fine, but it kinda means that his score only applies to people who wouldn't like a 3D platformer.
Even the reviewers I follow (Giantbomb), I kinda expect most of them to not super care about YK since none of them really cared about BK, only Nuts and Bolts. And the dude that is playing it believes that Nintendo games are the best and he preferred Mario 64. But he vaguely talked about YK on their podcast (before the embargo, which is why it was vague) and he at least said that overall, YK is alright and it does what it does good.
Basically, following a reviewer is an exercise into getting to know the reviewer's taste and knowing how it factors with your own. Because it's impossible for any reviewer to be completely unbiased. You just have to know in which way they are with which games and take that into consideration when listening to their opinion.
But yeah, I pretty much "followed" it since the MingyJongo twitter account, that turned later into Playtonicgames. Wish I could have had some money to kickstart it lol. But I guess I didn't need to anyway. =P
