You were right....very sad...and yet...I can relate to loriet....I share the same pains...I didn't kill anyone but the losses were the same... I highly relate to this, and will save it ASAP

By far the saddest chapter out of the bunch for me personally(ranking up there with the first one or 2).

Is it wrong to say that I really like this king character? He's the most interesting and competent character in the series by FAR, simply because he's the only one who appears to think rationally. And considering just how vile he is, that's something of an oddity. Loreit is always getting tricked because she doesn't have the foresight to actually plan things through, Richard was a moron for trusting Loreit despite her innocence ... sort of the same way /anyone/ who trusts a 'nice' monster in this setting has to be a moron. The skeptics and the paranoid should be the only people you find, because anyone who might trust a beastling has already died by now. All of the other characters seen thus far are completely inconsequential and interchangeable.

Since i created this i further refined all the characters, including loreit herself. Theres a redone version floating around some where if not here. Its just chapter 1 but hopefully its a bit better. I always wanted to go back and redo these stories. Show loreit more for what she is...a wrathful but understanding taur who tends to use actions more then words but isn't stupid. However i never got motivated to.

As for the villians, they were mostly made up at the time but heres what there are now.

Zodac: Leader of the beast wizards who has a huge germaphobia and master of magic
Daris: Master of biology, anatomy, genetics, and all around fucked up monster
???: I fogot his name ^^; but hes a gremlin who is great at technology yet not the most brave fighter
Gearhead: A wrathful dragon that is a combination of the other lords special skills and general of a majority of the beast king army and loyal only to the beast king.
Beast King: No name, no face, no nothing. Said he was once a shape shifter which what brought the army together in the first place but since then never seemed to be able to change again since. Hes wild and unpredictable but has a set goal in mind.
