The Nevermore Corporation worked on a genetic engineering project designed to create bioengineered living weapons under the codename "Khan's Talon". The weapons themselves were dubbed "Khanate Organic Military Equipment"- KOME.

The KOME organisms proved unreliable, however, and the project was canned; all KOME organisms were to be decommissioned.

En-route to a disposal facility, KOME-14 escaped containment and killed the entire security force assigned to it (barring a RAVEN special operative) before disappearing. KOME-14 is now wanted by the Nevermore Corporation for study, and the surviving RAVEN has been tasked with capturing or, if need be, destroying KOME-14 by any means.

Like the other KOME organisms, KOME-14 is a highly durable and predatory dragon-like monstrosity- heavily armoured, fast, and with immense strength and a cunning (if not particularly intelligent) mind. KOME organisms can rapidly redistribute organic energy and biomass between two alternating forms; a close-range "brawler" form with an armoured ram for a head-plate and brutal, sword-like scales along their forearms, or a "spitter" form with an engorged throat that overproduces glowing, toxic bile which can be spat at extreme distances.

KOME-14 is also known to be capable of hybridizing with humans, and brutish minions with varying levels of draconic traits have often been observed carrying out KOME-14's bidding in the field.
