11.4.17 - I updated the Gratonios drawing, to give him the look of the original Mazinger Z Anime.

Gratonios was a SuperHuman Warrior Beast, light and dark purple in color and one of the few whose integrated brain was in the actual head where his real face was located. Gratonios sport a dark helmet with a spike on the top and adorn with 4 horns, from which he could emit electric waves to shock his opponents, as well drills for hands which he would extend to impale its enemies with. The two Pectoral Faces could detached from the chest and fly and serve as shields and fired a laser from their eyes, giving this beast a larger range in combat, as well, Gratonios had the ability of short flight.

Gratonios was introduced on the final episode of the Mazinger Z series as the first Mikene Warrior Beast Cyborgs to see combat along with Pilanias, an Aquatic Warrior Beast, after Archduke Gorgon informed the Great General of Darkness of Dr. Hell's death and the destruction of the Underground Empire, the Warrior Beasts were sent out to destroy Mazinger Z and the Photon Power Lab. They confronted Boss Borot and Diana A and as usual overpowered them, but the situation turned serious when Mazinger Z, still damage in the final battle with Dr. Hell, was beaten up too. The two continued to the Photon Power Lab, were Dr. Yumi tried to hold off the monsters with labs defenses to no avail, but before he the could finish off the Photon Power Lab, Great Mazinger arrived and destroyed them: Gratonios was decapitated and taken out with the Thunderbreak before Pilanias was destroyed.

Their actions, while the first move and defeat for the reawakening of Mikene Empire, it took Mazinger Z and Diana A and their pilots (Koji and Sayaka) out of commission for the remaining of the Great Mazinger/Mikene Empire War as they studied under Dr. Watson in the U.S. - Shiro, the Boss Gang and Boss Borot would been the only Members of the original group to see action during this time period. The two heroic mechas would not return until the final battle in the Great Mazinger series finale.

Gratonios was brought back and redesign in Kaiser-Great General of Darkness Deathmatch: while the overall aspect remain the same (drill hands, electrical attacks, spikes and sharing faces) he was given a golden colored body, all three faces shared the same design (except the main head had a full golden shell forehead, while the Pectoral faces only had half of located opposite to the other's face). He was shown in the intro sequence attacking a Tokyo Speed Train along with an updated version of fellow Superhuman Beast Warrior Dandaros, and reappeared one last time under the command of Dante, the Spectral Warrior Beast, in the ruins of the Photon Power lab. He and the entire team were taken out (Gratonios was Turbo Rocket punch on the main face and exploded) before the surviving Generals Julicaesar, Hardias and Draydou were killed. As well was on the Monsters seen in the manga Shin Mazinger Zero vs the Great General of Darkness.
