Nobuo Karasu, the mighty Daitengu, normally calm and collected became suddenly fierce, his eyes ablaze. He puffed out his chest and and got up in the snarling face of Moloch, the wild-bearded, monstrous horned demon. They moved into such close quarters, their hands clenched tightly into fists, that their noses actually pressed against one another's. Then, to the astonishment of all the other tavern patrons, the two began hurling insults back and forth, almost like posturing children as the tension rose.
"Should we, uh, do something?" Asked Holden, the humanoid beholder to the goat-demon standing next to him.
"What, you mean like, place bets?" Responded Myotragus.

Just loving on two of my buddy Tuskforce's demon characters, Moloch and Myotragus, who I also got to know through his interviews with them from this past weekend on his tumblr! Glad he was excited to let me draw them and I was very happy at the opportunity to have them as guests in my own demonic narrative with a couple of my own characters. More of his art and creations here!

I love everyone on this page. Moloch and Myotragus have become fast favorites of mine, and a... daitengu? I like the design, and the concept (that I probably have heard up until now but not a proper term for it >>) is fascinating.
Also does that bartender have a shoulder-eye? Shoulder-eyes? Forehead eye?
...is he a shoggoth? Anthro beholder?
My god this entire page is just so creative! I *LOVE* IT!

I'm really pleased you like it so much, Rock! I had a fucking blast drawing this, being all inspired by Tusk's characters and AMA over the weekend.
Daitengu is a more evolved, compassionate species of tengu (Japanese crow demon) who often look like old bearded men with long phallic noses. lol, who would've guessed they're my favorites right?
Holden is a rare subspecies of Beholder (big eyeball guys from D&D) and yes, he has 30 eyes spread around his body that each give him enhanced sight and some, like the one covered by his bandana even give him abilities like limited clairvoyance or even energy blasts. However, if he was to strip down and open all of his eyes, the strain would make him pass out, or worse, so he relies for the most part on just a few.

Aaaah. I know the tengu and beholder; massive D&D nerd here. Never thought of an anthro beholder though -- that seems like something fun!
Daitengu is a new one for me -- and I can see why you like 'em. He seems keen. And ready to bust some skulls. Skull. Horn? Dunno.
But still; I love it. So damn creative.

Yeah, I wanted to do something a bit different, originally he was just like, my eyeball demon guy. But then I remembered how crazy xenophobic beholders are in D&D lore, and I figured a humanoid variation would be cool, all despised and shunned by his own kind. So he ends up hanging out with my band of misfit demons and monsters. Thanks for the interest. :)
