Well I drew this a while ago... just havent really been around a computer very much to have time to upload.
Anywho, Tis wolf link and link... Link has been fatally wounded in battle, and in his last moments he looks himself (or his wolf self) in the eyes... thinking how he never made it to the princess.
He cant win every battle! Just thought i'd put a sad ending to this tale for once. (i'm not been evil or anything like that, but you dont see many heroes fall.. so i thought i'd draw this)
I tried to put in as much detail as i had time for... but i got lazy with the background! XD
Enjoy!

Wow, didn't think you were capable of such a secenery. Looking magnificent!
Good idea with this. Recently I have some conversations with people that it's a shame that most stories have happy ends and the good guys always succeed - boring! Especially in the Zelda-Universe, a bad end would be so god damned changing! Programming the game a way, so that the final battel can't be won and yet, that story ends without Link succeeding. It would be such a sad end, and I guess even though being tragic, the fans would probably love it. With a proper scenery and scene animation, it would blow the audience away. Good job here, honey!

It would be nice to see the heroes fall for once for a change of pace. It would also be completely unexpected. The player would see the hero die, and be all like, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. He's not dead. He can't die, because he's the main character." And then, after a fairly long sequence, bam! Ending credits roll. One of the problems with games is how cliche they always are with their need to have happy endings, even in cases where it's completely unreasonable. It would be nice, if nothing else, to at least see more games from time to time go the way of Lufia 2, where the heroes succeed in saving the world, but it's a bitter victory. There are one or two more modern games I've played that have similar as well, but those all take a second seat to the 'true' ending of the game(s ). There are also some I've seen that seem like they're a more reasonably sad ending, but then turn it around at the very last second, despite all reason that such doesn't make a bit of sense.
In a way though, it's a good thing that almost all stories go the standard way. It makes those unconventional endings that much more unexpected, and therefore that much more enjoyable. If it was more of a regular thing, then it would be disappointedly more predictable. My main problem, as I hinted at, is when it's unreasonable for them to go the standard route. Like when the main characters are put into a situation that there's no way in hell, even with all they've managed throughout the game, that they should make it out alive, but they do. It makes their survival feel too forced just for the sake of a happy ending. Half the time, such endings make the conclusion feel more cheesy than anything.
No. I already knew the ending, and I likely wouldn't have ever beaten the game anyway. I'm not too huge on the Zelda franchise. I play most of them, but I usually get bored with them before beating them. The only one I've ever beaten amongst all those I've played is Ocarina of Time.
