Description;
Initial production box for 1980s plush animal 'Wet Spot' by Pente Toys
A plush toy made to simulate the paper training of a new puppy. Mechanisms within the legs in conjunction with an internal bladder would cause water to be released when the plush is oriented in a haunched position. The toy itself is refilled via an included feeding bottle. Other accessories packed with the toy was a plastic tray to give the toy a proper place to relieve itself while two disposable diapers were also included to prevent any unwanted messes during other playtime. The plush was also appropriately sized so that infant diapers could also be used once the included diapers were disposed of.
The toy itself never saw full production and only currently exists in a small handful of trade show promotion boxes and even fewer toys themselves. Of particular note is that a majority of the prototypes had defective gearing within the hip joints that prevented the bladder from being fully closed and unfortunately could not be corrected in time for the 1985 holiday release catalogs before being dropped from production entirely shortly after. Despite the cartoon caricature on the box and unlike Pente Toys more popular toy lines no further media such as comic books or animated shows were considered for production, leaving the toy itself to remain in obscurity.
Condition:
Box is faded from extended sun exposure, retrieved from the garage of a trade show journalist who was given the toy for the sake of promotion. The toy has long been lost by the original owner's son, and only the bottle and training plate remain (listed separately HERE). The son is unsure where the toy went as he claimed it disappeared one night. The owner/father did not recall if this was one of the defective prototype models.
Asking Price; $300.00 USD OBO
Something I threw together for a newer character of mine. I'd been tossing the idea in my head for making a plush-sona, as well as a puppy character, then just kinda blended the two together. I did experiment with some other designs which you can find on my Twitter account, but the large scarf just seemed to fit him best (if just to avoid the common collar/bow otherwise. Although I'll admit more than a few of my characters rock the ascot already)

I might've went a bit too far in the description. I actually added the last part shortly after posting when I thought it looked like I was shilling a fake piece of non-existent merchandise, that and to add proper context to the picture and character anyway.
I think this is my favorite part of character design though, is giving them a fleshed out back story that matches their needs and appearances.
