"Oh God, Reggie," Ted said as he saw the photo album in Venti's hands. "Why are you bringing in that thing?" The album was small, the size of a CD case, and Ted knew exactly which photo his older brother was about to pull out.
"Because little brother, I want Otis to see how cute you were when you were a kid," Venti replied with a toothy grin, sitting down on the sofa before flipping through the plastic sheets.
"Hey, there's a cute one," Otis said, poking at one of the pictures. It was one of Venti and Ted at the beach. Venti was sitting down against a small outcropping of rock while Ted stood on it and propped up an elbow on the top of Venti's head. "How old were you, Ted?"
"Ah, I think I was about twelve?"
"You were such a cute kid," Otis said, squinting at the photograph.
"Make you wonder what happened to him, huh?" Venti said.
"Very funny," Ted said, sticking out his tongue.
"Oh, nice comeback, little brother. Did you forget you're not in elementary school anymore?"
"We should grab some dinner," Otis said, being the type of person who didn't care for bickering. "I think pizza sounds great."
"I want to try that deep dish pizza place," Ted said. "What was it called again? Pirate's Pizza?"
"Good choice, Ted," Venti replied. "Sunday's their special. We can get five dollars off a large."
"Which of course means we'll still be getting two for us," Otis said, straightening up to pat his firm stomach. "They don't skimp on the ingredients, though. Half of one large is almost enough to fill me up, though Venti tries to eat his entire pizza."
"And I sometimes succeed, but then I get into a food coma and can't take a crap for a day."
Ted made another face. "Reggie, you're totally gross."
Venti smirked at his brother. "Be careful, or I'll tell Otis about the accident you once had when you were taking a bath."
"You wouldn't dare!"
Otis looked back and forth at Venti and Ted. "Tell you what, I'll pay for the pizzas if ya'll both behave."
"Deal!" they said simultaneously.

mmmmmmm yummy. Hey, is the Atlantis where the guys go for sushi? Their all-you-can-eat sushi thing (at the oyster bar on the bridge) is phenomenal!!! If you haven't gone yet, I highly recommend it. Big casino = big money = good fish shipped daily. Not kidding, they fly the fish in every morning as I understand it. ...never have found better sushi... ;-; (but they NEVER have abalone grr)
Still doesn't beat Steve's Pizza in Sacramento, Natomas. Or Woodstock's in Davis.
I had no idea I lived so close by to Venti. I live in Sacramento, and man, if only he were real.
Also, in the last line, I don't think they sound excited in my mind. I think it's kind of halfheartedly agreeing to the terms in a complaining, yet upbeat manner.
Ted sounds like he's doing well. I'm surprised Venti hasn't teased him enough about his looks yet. I guess it's too low of a blow to pull though.
