Rigel's actually been around for a long while...technically, I guess as far as biology goes, he's the second one to be on the ship. He was going to start showing up when the transmissions got to him (guess have to remind, that for the most part, those of things that have already happened), but....life happens.

I dunno, Azul does tend to have a lot of weird stuff happen to him. Rigel somehow ending up in a diap...er mag seems less weird than the other things that have happen like having scary hallucinations, fighting off killer plants, or catching a deadly virus. Seems less far fetched is all to me.
Plus it may make Azul feel better if you wear one Rigel, just for a little while and you don't even have to use it.

Well I'm happy that you got a buddy looking out for you Azul, one whom you have a past with and who I'm assuming is also the same species as you. I don't know if you'd count Alma as she's basically programmed to assist you so I don't know if she'd do many of the things she does regularly for you. I am sure that if it wasn't in her programming to do so you'd be changing most of your mags yourself. I taking this mostly from what she said in the first transmission of Plantastrophy. And Rigel sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with one of your used mags, though he seems comfortable hanging around you when you have a soaked one. Anyway maybe he'll play an awesome role in your next big adventure!
