I'm sure you've all heard of the freshman fifteen, being away from your parents all of a sudden opens an opportunity for a hedonistic, calorie filled lifestyle of snacks, soda and games, all of this times ten if your roommate happens to be into the larger type~
So yeah lately i've been trying to sketch digitally instead of on paper what i usually do, it does take some time getting used to, at first i practiced a bit with thinner bodies and i was quite pleased with how the main body turned out, so i made one into a Guilmon and the other into a Grovyle just for fun, but things eventually spiraled out of control as i decided to tie a whole story to it, but nevertheless i had a blast <3
A story of two college freshmen, one of which having a huge crush on his Guilmon roommate, if only he wasn't skin and bones, but he can change that~
I'm actually really happy with how this turned out despite the lack of shading, i can't stress enough how friggin perfect Guilmon's gut looks in the fourth part, i suppose it was just pure luck it ended up looking that good since i wasn't able to replicate it in the fifth, oh well

Luke!! You made such a fantastic job with this sequence!! I am absoultely impressed! And I can totally understand you. The transition from traditional sketching and digital sketching is often a very complex process. I have to confess that I still sometimes go back to the good old mechanical pencil and paper because it just feels different. But you made a wonderful job with this one. I love it when my favorite artists spiral out of control and end up making these wonderful masterpieces.
And I have to quite honest with you: I happen to like the most that fifth panel! I think you made a terrific job giving it the softness and the heft, making that wonderful belly look pliable and pillowy yet visibly massive.
Not only that, but to top it all, you made one of the characters my favorite Pokémon? I can't fave this enough. The characters are adorable, the setting is great and the whole concept of growing to love and loving to grow is absolutely amazing <3

Thank you sooo much Tzin!! Making the whole transition definitely took a while, since a drawing tablet has a whole different feel than a pencil and paper, but i'm slowly getting it down, it makes it much easier to erase stuff without making a mess as well x3
And i'm glad to hear that, i've always loved the concept of a hoodie hug, even though there's a lot of belly in the way in this case~
