I never got around to playing Splatoon, which is ironic, since I was one of the 3 people who bought a Wii U

I wanna play Breath of the Wild so bad, but I haven't bought it yet because I've been trying to figure out whether or not I should buy a Switch first. I could buy it for my Wii U, but if I'm going to get a Switch anyway I might as well get the (presumably) better version of it.

Knowing me, I would definitely end up buying it twice if I got it for Wii U. I would get the Switch version anyway when I inevitably cave

Breathe of the Wild looks amazing! But I would feel really guilty and unappreciative because I have never played a LoZ game in my life. Ever.

If you do, you could play several Zelda games. Obviously there's the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild. Then HD versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Skyward Sword is playable, too, since the Wii U is reverse compatible (but it's not a particularly good one. Kinda mixed reviews. I wouldn't start there)
