A bandana or neck scarf is a common method fursuiters use to conceal the junction of head to body on a costume. Many dog owners even put one on their favorite canine.
This was a big square of cotton print fabric bought at Joann's on sale some months ago. Like a table cloth type linen material with a nice festive green color for Rocket to wear in the parade. I laundered the cloth to take some of the stiffness out and later trimmed off the white edge. Then the square was folded several times to get the desired triangle shape and tied with a double knot. This makes for a rather thick neckerchief, but I think it's perfect. It has to be donned before adding the headpiece, then the neck is tucked in beneath it. Could serve a number of uses laid out flat--like an improvised carry bag for fursuit parts after the event. Wish there was an opportunity to use it.
