How is it that you "can't get it right"?

Hmmm..It's hard to explain, but I meant it to be more energetic, like an actual boss battle. getting a sense of "danger" and "anticipation".

Try messing with bass next time, I've heard it works but not sure what's the science behind it.

finding the answer to truth you seek. The music is very well blended and flows nicely.

It's quite good already! You said you intended it to be more energetic, and I can definitely see that possibility. Instead of that boss encounter feel, I think it's more suited for the stage before it! Kind of like... it's a character the hero knows, who's about to do something foolish because of a misguided sense of justice. And you gotta rush in to stop him from doing something he's going to regret. One last chance, to do the right thing. A sense of sadness and desperation. At least, that's my interpretation of this version. Either way, it's a good piece. Good work.
