One last pic from the joint art stream before I crawl back into my hole. Gloria is a character that I came up with back when I was in college, but aside from one comic I've never really given her anything to do story-wise, nor have I given much comprehensive thought to establish any kind of background or continuity. For awhile now however I've been drawing her hanging out with Scotty's character Opal who exists within the overall universe he's created for the CommanderKitty.com webcomic, albeit in an earlier historical timeline. Since Opal still exists in a high-tech future that calls into question where Gloria sits in time and space... and I guess at least for the now I'm having fun thinking of her in that future space world.

And if you live in a future space world that means you've gotta have a sweet ass space hoverbike, right? In fact, how about this one? It may not be apparent from my proclivity to draw characters, but when I was a kid I drew endless pages of helicopters, spaceships, tanks, and similar vehicular awesomeness, and the interest has never truly left. I don't indulge in this kind of thing too often mainly because characters are more fun, but also because the need to have accurate perspective is a big deal in order to make the best looking hardware. Needless to say I'm REALLY happy with the way this came out.
