thank you. :) it was like an endless carving somehow even though I had proper tools. I tried to use a bit of the shard's original structure... then it started to rain, and we had to hurry and pack up all the stuff befor the rain would make a mess out of the heaps of talcum. XD I carved out a couple details these days and dipped it in vegetable oil for a couple hours to enhance the structure. in afterthought a clear coat would maybe have worked as well. gotta try it out.

weißt du eigentlich, wie lange man das zeug in öl einlegen sollte? ich hab keine informationen bekommen können... und drei stunden natives sonnenblumenöl haben eigentlich keinen unterscheid gemacht... ^^

yes and no. I can't guarantee how it would look like, and I would have to work on the back porch, something unpleasant with our current rainy weather...
like wood carvers I try to follow the stone's structures, using as much natural surface as possible. so, it's a bit hard to tell how it would look like... why, do you think there would be interest?

id definatley be interested in something hand made like that. It's beautiful. And of course, working from the stones natural structure makes it all the more beautiful.
