I don't remember much, the sensation of floating before awaking and looking up. The empty sterility of a lab seemed to be all over. I squirmed and found that I was bound, two sets of orbs holding my arms and legs tightly.
A soft whirr of an electric motor as a robotic arm descended with a sharp needle. I tried to inch away before eventually pricked by the needle. A sensation of coolness flew through me, feeling oddly calming as the orbs simply released me, letting me fall onto the floor. I didn't even notice my clothing starting to vaporize.
My body started to contort, skin changing as bones painlessly snapped and popped into their new positions, a tail extending off my spine as my skin smoothed over, becoming shinier, almost rubbery. My flesh started on its journey as well, becoming something akin to living biolatex.
