So a while back I kind of got into the commission thing. Wanted to learn how to interact with artists. It was a learning experience in how I need to word my commission request. The types of resources and references they needed. Also knowing what to look for in a good commission artist. How timely they are in responding, they type of questions they ask about what I wanted, more specifics.
I gave each artist the same prompt at the start. From there I just kind of watched them do their own thing.

...After the first commission Wegc had another slot open just a few weeks later, so I jumped on that slot too. However with this one I ran into problems. The reference art I sent him and the pose I wanted to do didn't exactly work. All the references of my characters were front facing. So I had insufficient 2D data to generate at 3D model that can be rotated to different perspectives. Additionally the lack of examples showing my characters in motion, their facial expressions and their overall character. In short, I had a dead butterfly pinned in display case and it can only be 'beautiful' from one angle and nothing else. This caused undue frustration on Wegc's part with the commission. Even with limited references he pulled off a marvelous piece wouldn't you say?
