It's said Walt Disney had a big model railroad setup in his yard, and animator Ward Kimball did so too. These served as the inspiration for Donald Duck's giant outdoor train layout in the 1951 cartoon "Out Of Scale." So the Big Bad Wolf has hopped on the bandwagon and decided to run some model trains, to keep with Walt's heritage. Only difference is that this is an indoor basement train layout that has some more modern trains on it (along with the obligatory steam-driven train.) But it's still a really big layout with many buildings and scenery and figures and such, including some operating accessories like a log dump car, freight-unloading depot, an unloading boxcar, railroad crossing signals, blinking oil tank, even working traffic lights! I've had this layout set up for three years now.
