When you feel nothing fitting you and it's not an issue of simple design tweaks, what you have to do is quickly scribble down a bunch of animals or combinations of animals that you're comfortable drawing. Then draw the whole bunch of them again, subtracting ones you really didn't like, adding new ones. And again. The two questions you should ask yourself as you do this should be these: Which ones do you find yourself liking the most? Which is the easiest to draw? Sit on it for a few days, and try drawing the ones you like again, and see if you feel different.

thanks muchly for the tip! I've been trying to figure out my fursona...for like... since I discovered 'fursona' lol.
I've tried loads of different things, I thought gryphon would work, cuz I wanted it to be something four-legged with bird like..ness, but it didnt work at all for some reason, so I'm trying this.
I've tried:
-Foxes
-Wolves (just once though)
-Gryphons
-Microraptors
-Birds

all of them had wings though

Never tried platypus! xD
