OK, brief English lesson.
The original phrase is "I'm a victim of circumstance", which when spoken by Curly Howard of the Three Stooges sounds like "I'm a victim of soicumstance". The C at the beginning of "circumstance" has to change to an S, otherwise it would be "coicumstance", but a C before an O must sound like a K, which would ruin the joke.
