They threw away alot of potential with this series. It is really sad. This could have been a great series. The third one was good, but had a lot of potential to be much more rich in terms of story. Probably would have explored more of their relationship.

As one who enjoyed this trilogy, I used to draw these two like crazy.>.>
In fact, if it wasn't for this series, I would not be drawing today.

I am trying myself. But eh..it's been so long!

Well, sadly, they had a lot more they wanted to do but were constrained by Activision's tight budget and schedule. There was a lot they had cut out that was going to be explored in future games, until Activision shut them down and essentially stole Spyro for fanbase mooching with Skylanders :/ great games, but they got screwed by Activisuck. I was really REALLY looking forward to what they had in store for the next games they had planned, with further flight additions, deeper story, more "growing up" between the two.

I remember hearing about Spyro's kingdom and seeing the closed beta.
I was and still am a huge fan of the series.
I really wanted to see what they had planned. Shame.

They really only added Spyro in Skylanders cause they had a dragon model on hand. That's it. Shame such a potential was thrown in the trash for Skylanders. I was actually looking forward to the movie and tried to dig up as much as I could about it.

Funnily enough, I tried to make a sequel of my own. On my old regular account of course. It was coming along ok I guess. Had a neat concept. But yeah, I am happy to see the Spyro fandom still alive at least.^_^

I'm glad they shut down the movie, Skylanders shouldn't even be Spyro honestly. Activision shut down the Legend series so they could take him for their game. I really wanted to see the Legend of Spyro movie that was planned, and the games they had apparently scripted up past DotD. T_T

Activision themselves canceled the LoS movie, but on the other hand, we instead got a netflix series for skylanders that.... I'll be honest, I really like it because they made Spyro a lovable asshole again. It's not groundbreaking but the characters are likable enough.

Oh thank goodness! I thought I was the only one left at this point who prefers them as siblings, cousins, or just plain friends. This is super cute. :)
