Life hadn't ever been the same since Lucy had met Kate. Chance had brought them together when Lucy had needed a place to live, and she had found a safe refuge in the most unlikely of places. She'd gone from being a wolfess with a good job and a boyfriend to being out on the street and finding shelter with her mother and brother at the family home.
After some trial and error, she'd met Kate and moved in, and since then they'd lived together. Kate wasn't the sort of person she'd ever thought she'd live with. She certainly never thought she'd be the sort of woman that she loved.
Kate was everything Lucy wasn't. She was bold, dominant, and adventurous. Kate had no shyness about walking around the apartment naked or wearing something way too revealing. She'd even started to insist on dressing Lucy now and then, though Lucy had to admit she secretly liked it.
Lucy had started to have an effect on Kate as well. The snake had learned to appreciate the value of family, and for the first time knew what it was like to have someone looking out for you.
Today was a sunny saturday, and neither woman had anything pressing to do until after lunch. As a result, Lucy had been talked into playing tennis by Kate. She put on her cutest workout outfit. Just as she tied her sneakers, Kate showed up in the tightest pair of pants and sports bra Lucy had ever seen. "I don't know how you slither into that outfit."
Kate gave Lucy a kiss before the two headed out with their racquets. "I've been working on my backhand."

These two are always so adorable together. The fact that they are so different from each other is a big part of what makes their relationship so interesting, I think, and I love that they've both had an effect on each other, with Kate bringing Lucy out of her shell just a bit, and Lucy having just the tiniest settling effect on Kate. It's one of those relationships that I think most outsiders would never believe would work for a moment, but which actually fits together seamlessly. They're both just gorgeous, too, and I think they might just be my favorite couple from among your characters.
The art looks amazing, too, and I love the paw print patterns on the bottoms of Lucy's shoes. That's a really neat touch. Plus, why can't I help but think that the tiny skirt she's wearing is Kate's influence showing itself a little?

A while back I had split them up as a couple and it just never felt right. They belong together. Ever since they were originally paired up by accident in a spaceship idea it just synced, and their personalities formed. While most of that idea was dropped, Kate's family situation, her history, personality, and Lucy's pretty much made the transition from scifi to modern world intact. I remember when I wrote the story to the comic we will one day get to, Lucy finds herself with Kate in a bit of an odd couple sort of situation. While she would never have sought her out, being forced together she finds Kate completes her. She is everything she isn't and teaches her how to be the real her and not what she thinks she should be. Kate teaches Lucy to try things and to not care what others think of her. Lucy teaches Kate you don't always have to be alone and that not everyone has an angle. I suppose it's the part of me who loves to find socially awkward characters and think about how I could help them, though I hope that doesn't sound arrogant. It's more that I like to help.
I tend to agree, from the outside they don't look like a couple that would make sense, but they do. They're also my first lesbian couple, and they make such an adorable pair.
I liked that as well, that was the artist's idea. It makes sense though that anthros would go for a paw motif. :) I wouldn't be surprised if it was, Kate gets her to dress 'sexy' now and then. ;)

Of course she'd wear the tightest outfit she could get into. That's how you distract your girlfriend so you can win, both on and off the court!

Especially Kate. She loves teasing Lucy because she knows it works so well. Not to mention Lucy is really cute when she blushes and the fact she secretly likes it. ;) Hehe.
Kate knows how to push Lucy's buttons, but she would never do it when Lucy really needs to concentrate. She knows how to take care of Lucy right. :)
