She's a beauty already... This one actually has me thinking deep about what's involved here.
Scale dyes may be more than just the scalie equivalent of getting a tattoo... perhaps it's more like cosmetic surgery. She's clearly nervous about committing to this. Is she doing this for someone special, or giving into peer pressure? Maybe colorful lizard ladies are the equivalent of size-zero models and other unrealistic depictions of the human body IRL. This conflicted scene is definitely more than your average reptile fashion shot. Well done for pulling it off.

Personally, I don't see it as being that permanent. I always viewed it as being akin to hair dye in the sense that it can always be grown out or redyed, but would otherwise stick around... Though for scalies, I guess it'd be less "grow out" and more "next time they shed their skin."
Not that it make things any less anxious for Liz, though. It's still a drastic change, after all!

Yes, I guess that's true. If it is just being applied on top of the scales, not being pushed deep under the skin like a tattoo, it would eventually shed away. Although, like tattoos, you'll hope it doesn't look too silly or lose its detail as it starts to fade or age!
