I've been wanting to do a version of Hunter with antlers for a while, and so I thought I'd upgrade that idea to a full-on nightmare version. Distinct from anthro and feral versions, Nightmare!Hunter comes out at night and wanders through people's dreams. They never do anything actively harmful in dreams, but they are capable of following and staring at the dreamer with their creepy bug eyes. The mouth has sharp teeth in addition to the beak, and the tail is a deer's tail with feathers radiating from the edges. The "wings" are more like flippers and instead of being covered with feathers, they are bare skin in feather patterns, coated with a thin coat of sticky slime.
