Ula’Ula Island, Alola… Malie City Park… June 9, 2016… 10:39 am…
Chris and Light sat on a bench in Malie City Park. Light sucked in the fresh ocean breeze and smiled, “It's such a nice day out isn't it Chris.”
Chris nodded, “Yea, but its Alola, what do you expect.”
Light slouched down and thought, “Well rain is one thing. Oh, snow in the winter…”
Chris chuckled, “Ok you can stop. It was a figure of speech. It's just that Alola is so warm and sunny that it's just normal here. So on a different note, are you excited for Alola’s first ever festival?”
Light smiled, “Oh absolutely. Plus, we both get to have more customers at the bakery.”
Chris stood up in shock, “You're right. I got a lot of baking to do.”
Light stood up as well, “Calm yourself Chris, we have until tomorrow.”
Chris shook his head and began to towards the park exit and said, “Don't care I have hundreds, if not thousands of pastries to make.”
Light sighed and ran after him saying, “If possible set aside a few cakes for me.” He rubbed his bulge protruding from his midsection and continued, “Because they are delicious.”
Chris chuckled, “Sure, but I can't have a brother who is part Snorlax.”
Light laughed, “I can say the same for you.”
Chris and Light’s Pastry Palace… 11:07 am…
Chris unlocked the front door to the bakery and entered, Light followed in behind him. Chris patted his brother on the shoulder and asked, “Since the festival is tomorrow and I need to make tons of pastries, I need you to help me.”
Light nodded, “Of course, but you know my payment right?”
Chris gave him a blank stare, “3 chocolate cakes.”
Light smiled, “You know me so well.”
Chris made his way to the kitchen a said back, “No duh, were brothers.”
Light followed him back and cracked his knuckles, “Let's get to work.”
15 hours later… 2:42 pm…
Chris yawned loudly as he finished up the last tray of sweets for the bakery and said, “I am beyond exhausted. We need to get some sleep if we are to be ready today.”
Light nodded, “Absolutely, now we're are the emergency beds here.”
Chris pointed at a closet, “Right there.”
Light flung the doors open and grabbed 3 chocolate cakes and smiled, “I need to finish these befor bed.”
Chris shook his head, “You are so weird, hurry up so we can sleep.” Light nodded and immediately dug in.
15 minutes before Opening Time… 9:45 am… Festival Day…
Light unlocked the cash register and looked down at his plump stomach. He sighed and said to himself, “I really need to work off some pounds. If this keeps up, I won't be able to be a cashier here.”
Chris came out of the kitchen and unlocked the front door to the bakery and said, “It's show time big bro.”
Light smiled, “Then let's sell some pastries.” Light thought to himself, “After today, I need to get a personal trainer to help me lose some of this weight.”
Chris stood at the kitchen entrance and and chuckled, “Now this should be a fun day.”
Light looked back at him and asked, “What do you mean?” Chris gestured towards the front door. Light’s jaw dropped as hundreds of Pokemon, big and small, were walking around. He said quietly, “Sweet Arceus.”
Chris laughed, “Now let's get going.”
Light nodded and replied, “Agreed.”
Closing time… 8 hours later… 7:02 pm...
Light sat down at a booth and set his head on one of his paws. He sighed, “What a insane day.”
Chris sat down adjacent from him and said, “Yeah, no kidding. We sold out and then some.”
Light chuckled, “I know, and we still have two days left of this Festival.”
Chris leaned back, “Yea, so how much did we make?”
Light shrugged, “Not sure, I'm guessing about $15,000 or more, just today.”
Chris smiled, “Awesome, now I got to do some baking. Why don't you head out and take a break. You had a long day.”
Light nodded, “Thanks. You should get one later as well, since you are the owner and all, plus you have to bake more than what we had.”
Chris stood up and made his way to the kitchen, “I'll probably take one in about 3 hours.”
Light got up and pushed open the door and said, “See you back at home.” He let the door swing shut as he made his way into Malie City. He sighed, “Time to find a trainer. I can't just keep this weight.” He wandered the streets until a small building with a sign that read, “Duli’s Weight Loss Dojo.” Light smiled, “Finally, a place to get this weight off.”
He pushed open the door and saw a fairly buff Incineroar flexing at a reflection of himself. Light stood at the counter and cleared his throat saying, “Umm… excuse me sir. I've come in for some weight loss.”
The Incineroar looked at him and said in a calm voice, “Wonderful, a new customer. So how may I help you today?”
Light smiled, “Well I've come in to see about your weight loss program.”
The Incineroar put a claw on his chin and nodded, “Alright. I see you could use a slight trim on your midsection. So if you want to signup, please fill out this form.”
Light nodded and grabbed a clipboard and began filling out the questions:
Name: Light J. Lycanroc
Current Weight: 209 pounds
Ideal End weight: 105 pounds
He finished answering the questions and handed the Incineroar the clipboard. He nodded, “So Light, you want to become a fit a tough Mon, am I right?”
Light nodded, “Mostly, I just want to be nice and fit for my job.”
The Incineroar nodded, “Well, so how this will work is, I sort of move in for a while and help you lose weight. It's odd, but it works for many different Pokemon.”
Light nodded, “Sounds good, umm, what's your name.”
The Incineroar held out his paw, “I'm Duli, nice to meet you Light.”
Light nodded, “Of course, so when do we begin?”
Duli begins walking to his room, “After the Festival.”
Light nodded again and said, “Sounds good.”
Duli came back with a suite and smiled, “Shall we get going.”
Light held open the door, “Yes we shall.”
Back at the bakery… 7:41 pm…
Light saw a note on the door of the bakery and read aloud:
Hey big bro, I decided to head out for a bit. Feel free to help yourself to anything in the kitchen.
Chris
Light unlocked the door and turned on a couple lights in the bakery and said, “Well Duli, welcome to home. Our house is actually upstairs, above the bakery. My brother Chris is the owner and baker here, while I work as the cashier and marketer.”
Duli dropped his bags and asked, “So, what's this about food.”
Light make his way to the kitchen, “My brother made some food, so let's eat.”
Duli and Light entered the kitchen, about 57 chocolate cakes sat on the table and about 372 cookies. About 39 gallons of milk sat next to it as well. Duli thought to himself, “I think the diets may be thrown out the window.”
