Magic's profession: Sunbeam tester.
I never draw Magic too much anymore. In fact, I think there are some characters of mine that have never been drawn with her! Since I have a lot of newer watchers since I last drew her, let me explain. She is a Vrael, a species that a friend of mine made that I somehow co-own now. We both design them differently. Mine are drake-like while his are more akin to a lizard sugarglider. Everyone only gets one of them though. They are like companions or life-long pets. It varies a lot. All have powers and abilities in reverse to their use of them. Here, Magic is basically a housecat with wings. So her abilities are very powerful indeed. If only she wouldn't sleep all day. But those sunbeams won't test themselves!

Sunbeam testing is very serious business. Someone has to test energy spent versus the amount of solar energy collected in a period of time. Truth be told, not everyone is cut out for such exhausting tests. Especially since you never know when a cloud will pass by and mess up all your work. Then you have to find a new location and start your research over again. True story.
