Do you think that, just maybe, Vincent is trying to escape something?

Haw!
Kevin lost his lisp when shouting in unison with Vincent!
In another graphic novel, there is this freshman college student who came from an isolated farm community in Canada. Similar shock was experienced by his friends when I came out in conversation that he had never seen the original Star Wars Trilogy.

Chucky seems a lot like me in this regard, i used to not think of music as "all that" up until I discovered Techno and Trance music.
also, ever since college, haven't gone to the movies much in like 10 years, and i have a friend who has way too much time on his hands and is a movie buff who gets on my case for not knowing his movie references, ugh...

I guess Weird Al's music truly is timeless if his lyrics survive up to the comic's days. :P
I can almost imagine a group of anthro-archeologists digging up one of his albums somewhere... (potential future story arc, or is it common knowledge in this world that humans once existed?)

Nothing of the sort, just my small homage to Weird Al Yankovic by making my nerdy fox character sing his music out loud. I've had a few songs in my comic, but I never refer to the artist by name except in the description. If I have any actual bands in the story, I'll make up lyrics for them.
One of, (but not the only) my favorite movies has Weird Al's "Dare To Be Stupid" in it.
Along with any and every hair metal band you can think of!
1986 "The Animated Transformers Movie," which is worth watching just to hear none other than Leonard Nimoy (as Galvatron) saying "I will rip open Ultra Magnus, and every other Autobot until the Matrix has been destroyed!"

I'm still so happy to see new updates from you! I'm curious, though, one character was going to go through with military flying; is he going to have to go through military training as well then? I'm forgetting his name at the moment, but I don't see him lasting too long with combat training. :/
Yes they will. There will be many opportunities for the military students to excel as well as wash out. As they advance through their flight training, the military students will have more aerobatic and advanced flight maneuver training. If they get through all of that, they will become a flight instructor for a time. Eventually, they will be assigned a flight slot in an appropriate aircraft with the military.
If those guys keep this up, they will end up in THIS Weird Al song -
