Just a picture of a new character i was thinking of making... A human who, when he comes in contact with a pokemon ends up transforming into a pokemorph of that species for a while.
Even bothered to come up with a backstory based on this one legend mentioned in Diamond & Pearl... The one having to do with how pokemon and humans once lived in complete peace and harmony till a human screwed it up by over hunting.
Anyway, the short version of the backstory was: Once the pokemon decided that they were going into hiding, some felt, that not all humans deserved to be punished for what a few did, and after some internal conflict within the pokemon community arceous decided to give some humans the ability to be able to transform into pokemon (single species, though some could turn into a few different ones) and allow them to live/visit with the pokemon in hiding should they so choose. Of course not all the pokemon were happy with this decision and the humans feared the shifters. Unfortunatly the shifters became hunted by the humans, and seemed to dissappear, however once in a while their attributes reappear , though usually in rather unnoticable ways such as someone who seems to able to communicate better then others with pokemon or someone that pokemon seem more comfy around even when they are complete strangers.
Anyway his traits are quite interesting. Untransformed he can pretty much tell what a pokemon wants though he can't understand quite what they are saying, pokemon tend to calm down as well as tend to be friendly toward him even usually aggressive species. Pokemon can sense he's special, however it's a good and bad thing, since some pokemon still hold a serious grudge against the shifters of the past and will attack him without a second thought. When he is transformed, he has all the techniques and abilities of the pokemon he shifted into. He can also then understand poketalk and be well understood when he talks to other pokemon.
Anyway, because of all this he tends to try and stay away from pokemon at least while he's in public view since normal humans would likely be freaked out if he were to suddenly shift into a pokemon that just accidenly bumped into him (though his clothes provide some protection from this). Also, he dosn't always travel with a pokemon, as should he get attacked if he wasn't already shifted he'd likely end up shifting into whatever it was attacking him since all it takes is a touch.
Also a note, he can't just transform at will, and neither can he decide not to transform should he touch a pokemon. Also, while he's transformed he won't just become another species of pokemon by touching it, so he has to wait to untransform before he can become another species, that is assuming whatever he is can't use the move transform.
