Due to my lack of drawing anything recently, have some funny quotes. Each of these are real, though a couple are supposed to be jokes, and if you look hard enough you might just find a familiar name in there...

Hah, well the baffling this is that some of these people were smart. They just had... mega brain farts.
As for what grade I was in (I assume you don't particularly care what level of education I'm at now since this was 3 - 4 years ago) I'm not 100% familiar with the US grades system. But I believe 4th Grade is about 10 years old? So... much higher.
Our system is in 'years', starting (oddly enough) in your second year of school, when you're usually 6. Years 1 through to 6 (6 years old to 11 years old) are called Primary School. Then you go to Secondary School, which is Years 7 through to 11 (12 years old to 16). Finally you have Sixth Form or College, which is 17 or 18 year olds. We were at that final level, when these quotes were taken. Hope that answers your question.
Final question, yes, they teach American black history (referred to under the blanket course title "American Civil Rights") in England, but usually only at higher levels. Slave trade is studied quite early, but the actual black rights movement, MLK, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and all that lot are studied at Sixth Form level.
