A Taste of Othello 1
"I don't get it," she said. "I just don't get it. You're doing it to spite me, aren't you?"
She was a gorgeous woman, eyes twinkling with commanding presence. The plumage rising from the back of her head was a beautiful black and purple, sprinkled with silver. The younger bird in front of her was staring at a drinks menu, and when she sighed and laid her hand on his, he pulled away, faking interest in his nails. The woman bit her tongue. The insolent whelp could count himself lucky she was his mother. Like a fencer, she adjusted her stance, and jabbed from another direction.
"Othello... You're distracted. You've got a lot on your mind. And it must be exhausting at that... place. I may not fully... appreciate your decision, but I support you. I do. And if you’d let me-"
"Another drink!" her son spat at a feline with a tray. "I don't care what you get me, but make it cost a fortune."
She shot him a glance of disapproval. In response, her son smiled, plucked the waiter's tail from the air, and looking her straight in the eye, gave it a firm tug.
"And handsome," he added, "I'd like your phone number to go with that order."
She flinched at his disrespect, and he drank it all up, swelling with defiance. More than ever, she wanted to punch his face in.

Do I look like I care? He is a young adult and still behaves like a spoiled teeny brat. He already has negative love points from me.
His good looks... Nope! No saving grace!
On the other hand... There is a story behind that, and if he has a good reason why he behaves like this, I may be sympathetic to his side of the story.
