I had just found out today (March 9, 2017) about the passage of webcomic creator and anthroartist
Albert Temple - whose series "Gene Catlow" was way ahead of "Zootopia", in terms of preaching the word about bias and prejudice (between its anthropmorphic cast and humans), and teaching that we should all get along (no matter how different each one of us is). Temple was 59 years of age...
I only got to meet him one time - at the 1999 edition "AnthroCon" in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania - but we'd managed to keep in touch with one another via 'snail-mail' and the Internet. And he never fails to cheer me up whenever he posts a comment about one of my art pieces (every now and then).
We can sure use more talented anthroartists like Albert. He will definitely be missed...
Here is an encore of the sketch of his webcomic's title character from my BBS (Big Black Sketchbook) - the original version of which can be viewed in my 'Scraps' section at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/3837058/ - as a memorial tribute to him. I wish I'd met him sooner; his art would've appeared in one of the earlier pages of my BBS!
